Shakespeare Solved ®

Shakespeare Solved ® is a forthcoming series of novels that covers the Bard's entire life and work.

These novels solve the mysteries surrounding Shakespeare by transporting us back in time, to walk in his shoes, and see his world through his eyes.

Only when we see Shakespeare in his original historical context can we understand what his plays and poems really mean.

This blog explains some of my ideas and discoveries, to prepare for this series of novels.

Hailee Steinfeld and Shakespeare

Happy Birthday Hailee Steinfeld!

I hope will join me today in wishing her a Happy Birthday.

She played Juliet in the recent film version of Romeo and Juliet, which I liked very much -- click here for a review of the film.

I thought she was excellent in the role, and I enjoyed the film very much.
She was 14 years old when the film was made, which means that she is the only actress in any film version who is even close to the age of the character of Juliet.

As Juliet, she has a very natural way of communicating the language that makes it very accessible, especially for anyone who finds the language hard to understand.
I hope that, after the experience with this film, Ms. Steinfeld will continue with Shakespeare, whether it is on stage or screen.

There seems to be a renewed interest in Shakespeare film adaptations, what with Cymbeline starring Ethan Hawke and Dakota Johnson, and Macbeth starring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard as those bloody Scots -- and I think that Ms. Steinfeld would be excellent in film projects such as these.
